This is the canonical repository documentation portal built on Sphinx + RTD.

recovered technical notes and provenance pages from the isolated branch.
The following work is intentionally deferred:
large-scale canonical docstring rewrites;
promotion of historical proof-of-concept trees as canonical roots.
